This is a Cricut Infusible Ink project. The black transfer sheets are pre-inked and cut with a Cricut machine; you do not print these sheets or use sublimation ink. That distinction matters: this project has no sublimation printer, printed paper, or printer settings. The Cricut XL shirt page identifies item 2006815 and lists 95% polyester with 5% spandex. Its selected item page names EasyPress 2/3, not SE; Cricut’s separate FAQ says the SE works like EasyPress 2, and the U.S. Heat Guide returned the settings below when EasyPress SE was selected.
Measure the shirt area
Cricut does not publish a numeric design rectangle for Men’s T-Shirt Blank, Crew Neck, XL, item 2006815. Measure the flat placement area on the actual shirt before sizing the file, then keep the single transfer within that measured area, the 12 × 12 inch sheet and Maker 4 cut envelope, and smaller than the EasyPress SE plate. The plate measures 12 × 10 inches, but that machine specification is not a recommended shirt graphic size; Cricut says not to press the design in sections. The selected XL listing says the shirt runs small and advises ordering one to two sizes up; check the garment sizing details before choosing a size.
Prepare the cut sheet
Use the Maker 4 with a StandardGrip mat. Cricut’s Machine Only option lists a LightGrip mat, while its Infusible Ink FAQ calls for StandardGrip when cutting transfer sheets, so do not count the included mat as a substitute. Mirror the image, place the sheet liner-side down, cut, crack-weed, and trim the clear liner close to the artwork. The selected sheet page lists Maker machines at the family level; its compatibility section does not name Maker 4 item 2011084 individually.
Cricut lists white 80 lb cardstock or four layers of butcher paper inside the shirt, clean butcher paper over the transfer, a lint roller, scissors, and tweezers. The BOM includes Cricut Butcher Paper item 2011640 for the paper layers and cover; the other records are generic supply requirements with no manufacturer-specific SKU or price. The Heat Guide selected a Cricut Pressing Mat. The BOM lists Cricut EasyPress Mat item 2012378 as one mat option; Cricut describes it for T-shirt use, but its compatibility list names EasyPress 2/3 rather than SE. Cricut’s separate how-to says to let the blank cool completely after preheating before placing the design.
Apply the transfer
The U.S. Cricut Heat Guide result checked on September 23, 2026 selected EasyPress SE, Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet, T-Shirt, and Cricut Pressing Mat. It returned a 15-second preheat followed by 385°F for 40 seconds at Firm pressure. Cricut’s separate how-to says to let the blank cool completely after preheating before applying the design; check both current instructions during setup. The selector does not ask which SE plate size is used; this plan lists the 12 × 10 inch model as the chosen press. The selected shirt listing itself names EasyPress 2/3. The SE path therefore comes from Cricut’s separate statement that SE works like EasyPress 2 plus the dated Heat Guide result, not from an exact SE mention on the shirt SKU page.
Cricut’s two instructions differ on liner removal. The Heat Guide says to remove the liner while warm; the separate How to Use Infusible Ink article says to let the project cool completely and then remove the paper and liner slowly. This plan preserves both instructions and does not invent a resolution. Check the current Cricut directions for the exact product before choosing that step. Cricut also says the EasyPress should stay still during the single application and be lifted slowly. Use good ventilation because Cricut warns that heating vapors may irritate sensitive people.
Save and price the plan
A BOM quantity of 1 means one XL shirt, one two-sheet transfer pack, one six-count StandardGrip mat pack, one Maker 4, one press, one EasyPress Mat, and one 15-sheet Cricut Butcher Paper pack. Cricut recommends a new paper sheet for each transfer; the inside layers may use four butcher-paper sheets or the optional generic 80 lb cardstock line, while the top cover still needs clean butcher paper. The machine-only offer includes LightGrip, so the separate StandardGrip pack remains on the BOM. Generic lint roller, scissors, tweezers, and cardstock have no named manufacturer SKU or price. Save this project in the browser, print it from the project actions, and open My setup to export the workspace. Use the project pricing calculator with current offers and your own labor and supply costs. On September 23, Cricut’s U.S. pages showed the selected XL blank at $5.39, Black transfer sheets at $8.39, Maker 4 Machine Only at $379, EasyPress SE 12 × 10 at $119, StandardGrip six-pack at $15.99, EasyPress Mat at $10.99, and Cricut Butcher Paper 15-pack at $10.99. These were page observations with unknown stock status, not a current availability promise or project total.
